ESALEN massage

Soothe your nervous system and integrate mind, body, and spirit.

Esalen Massage is a meditation and awareness practice. It is a pathway into the mindbody-scape for self-healing, a reciprocal exchange of body language between giver and receiver. This modality works with the nervous system. I invite the client to place their attention on breath and an inward felt-experience of the sensation of touch. Long strokes, a slow pace, and pauses allow one to feel at home in their body. As the nervous system enters into a state of rest and digest, the muscles and fascia begin to open to restore balance and alignment. It is a loving gift for the whole being.

YOGA

Yoga is a mindbody awareness practice, which holds the opportunity to nourish & open the body and steady & awaken the mind.

Yoga is a moving meditation with focus on the breath and sensations felt in the physical body. This practice slows or ceases fluctuations of the mind and builds a capacity to focus. The practitioner can thus inhabit their physical body and live in the present moment, free of influence from past experiences or future worries.

Hot vinyasa challenges and strengthens the physical body, empowering the practitioner to move through the world with ease and confidence. Heat and movement cleanse the body and allow the mind to rest.

Yin yoga poses effect the deeper connective tissues, joints, deep fascial networks, and the skeleton. Long holds give the nervous system time to downregulate, promoting deep rest, digestion, and physical, emotional & spiritual healing.
